I like what Kentucky did. They made their facilities better rather than bigger
Agreed.
Only Little Brother schools get in a dick measuring contest about capacity vs. actually improving the quality of the facility. Increased seats when you're not selling out every game? Cool. I'll take the recruiting room with "balcony" that opens into the student section, a pretty swank new indoor facility, luxury boxes, and an improved limestone facade among other features. What their fans don't realize when talking shite is that if Kentucky reaches a point where capacity is an issue, they're still able to build on to increase capacity.

Exactly, improvements is much more important than expanding when you don't need the expansion. We are upgrading too, it's important for recruitment and adds more excitement to the fan base.
Btw, hello Belle.

Did you never party in the Orange Lot?
I will miss that greatly
As for other "upgrades" the ribbon boards were not to upgrade the fan experience but to enhance the coin from advertising in the most annoying way possible.
I am really disliking the band music being traded for canned music. Much like modern america, more lights and sound to cover marketing issues over fan enjoyment.
As for "club" seating and private decks. It is just a way to sell booze to the wealthy and keep the masses from buying a drink unless they cough up the hefty cover charge.
Personally, big or small. Seating expansion or seating contraction would mean little if they just posted 1 true price and that was the actual price stamped on the ticket. If you pay donations, let the face price reflect it. If they riddle you with add on fees - have it stamped on the ticket somewhere. Most sports tickets reflect only a fraction of what the tickets actually cost.
