Design looks strange. Why come to a point?

Jumbotron behind would be hard to see if it did not come to a point.

Back on point, Even if the Pizza Pit sells out, Commonwealth has sold well over capacity in the past so breaking the seating record of 71,000 or 72,000 set by UK will be hard to break. The downside to the new Commonwealth, aside from catering to the wealthy at the expense of the masses, is the loss of real overcapacity game sales so the loss of 6,000 seats was really more like 10,000 lost seats.

As UK has been greatly influenced by Oregon (and Nike) I wonder if they are using that model to limit non UK seating and make it harder for non UK fans to get seats that would have been available with more seats (hence more supply) similar to what happens in Rupp for basketball. It is almost impossible to get Rupp seats for UK games for outside fans. If they reduce seating and build a new Rupp of say 18,000 seats (as proposed when Ricky was coaching) it would be a tighter ticket and hard to see any non blue in the venue for a game.
