Like you said, depleted uranium. Depleted Uranium is supposedly safe to handle. The 30 mm rotary cannon also fires high explosive rounds. From the picture though, this looks like it is just the brass (or it might be nickel or steel) cartridge that has had the neck cut off and was then painted.

Safe to handle external to the body. Not internal. Also the casing is used to block beta and alpha particle emissions from the DU shells themselves, and gamma rays.

Im not drinking out of a shot glass that was used for this purpose any more than I am drinking out of an old gasoline can that has been scrubbed clean.

Is it true that these particular shell casings are made of depleted uranium? These that they're making glasses from? Crazy.

I get what "depleted" means, but hell.

My late grandma had a bunch of that blue cobalt stuff from the pre-Hiroshima years. Bowls and plates and glasses and gravy boats... That stuff was radioactive. Of course for several decades after Madama Curie discovered radium people were using radiation to "cure" themselves.

The conspiracy theorist in me would like to postulate that the Obama-Clinton-Hollywood regime wants Americans who support independence and defense to die of gastrointestinal cancer. Get rid of the old guard mentality and usher in the age of a 100% pussy population.
