I'm thinking I'll start consuming some adult beverages until I forget WHAT day it is and kill this last empty Saturday that way. Better suggestions?

North Dakota State & Montana play at 3pm on ESPN.

Should be on par with a lower half B12 or ACC match up.

Better than nothing. Appreciate the heads-up.

North Dakota State is fun to watch. If it's at their place that town loves football. And last year they had a very good RB I don't know if he's still there though

Seems like we opened against them maybe five years ago?

I found myself watching some canadian football the other day. May have been live, may have been replay, but any port in a storm I guess.

When no beer drinking flying dog showed up, I nodded off.

Last weekend I was trying to pretend that I was interested in NFL preseason by watching the NFL network.

It's in Missoula. I'm definitely tuning. NDSU is a legit powerhouse in FCS. Montana is breaking in a new coach, Stitt, who took The Colorado School of Mines to 13 winning seasons out of 15. Should be a good one. Plus it's in Montana, so the views alone will be worth watching.

I don't ever recall UGA opening with NDSU or SDSU. NDSU would have given us a game for a half or so. I know we opened with Coastal Carolina in 2010 and have played Central Michigan (the Knowshon jump game) and Western Carolina in the past. Opened with Buffalo in 2012.

NDSU has blown out Minnesota and Iowa State in the last few years.

Watching Miami Central vs Dematha. If this is the #2 vs #5 HS teams I'm not seeing it.

Archer or Colquit would give both these teams a run.

These freakin announcers act like they've never seen a HS game with multiple FBS prospects,

We have played New Mexico State University in the not too distant past but I don't remember it being an opener, and I think we may have played Idaho State as a mid-late season cupcake a few years back.

I loved the nfl as a kid. But, other than the super bowl, i don't think i watched another nfl game from start to finish last year.

Something's missing. There's no heart or soul in it anymore.

Which is what espn and the playoffs will eventually do to college football....

Unfortunately I think you are right. It'll take a lot longer to kill CFB but it's def. headed in that direction. It's always been about the money ever since UGA & OU sued the NCAA but I could act like it was still a college kids game...

With the advent of 12-14-16 team conferences & the BCS/CFB Playoffs, AD's making millions offa the kids & then shitting on them(processing of recruits who didn't develop, who are good kids & students)...

At least now with the paying of SA's a COA calculated by some murky formula by each school's admissions dept. the lie of CFB being a amateur sport has been left in the dust...

CFB =/= NFL lite...

So what?Do you really want to go back to those days? All your TV appearances regulated by the NCAA?It was freakin moronic.

The cash flow comimg in to colleges has helped everybody and now finally benefiting the kids. Thank God.

The regular season was enhanced by the playoff format last year.Every single game counted down to the last week of the season.Having said that,I'd rather not go past a 4 team format but I doubt that's a reality.
