in that major, not in his college in general. And its very plausible, he was also new.

You think the dean of whatever school Cam Newton was in didn't know Cam was in his college? Come on man.

Cam was pretty prolific, so yes. But just throw some other player and a very different story.

So grad students, professors and employees. Undergrads are a dime a dozen to Deans.

I'm not arguing that this is a big issue. It's not, in my opinion. My point is that the Dean needs to shut up because he's not really helping himself here. If he just shuts up then the weekend will get here and it's a non-issue next week.

Not at all. I'm just chatting with some folks on the internet. Fact of the matter is, my company does marketing, advertising, and PR. I know what I'm talking about in this regard, so my point is that the dean is exercising poor PR and someone is allowing him to do it.

If he just stays quiet then the weekend gets here and people move on with their lives and forget about it. Then next week the entire focus is on first week of college football and it's a dead issue. His comments breath life into it unnecessarily so. If this broke on Monday it would be a different story. Then he could make a comment. Timing matters.
