It's on them both. If anything the guard was beat, Tunsil didn't put the effort in to help like he should have.

That's on the guard. If you don't trust Tunsil then I'm sure you wouldn't trust Avery Gennessy

We took Gennessy over fahn cooper and were able to redshirt him.

Sure if you were trying to make a point that he sucks or something but the fact is Morris didn't do his job and bad things happen. Like when Nkemdiche punked Ogebuchi and this happened.

No one knows, he hasn't played.

What we know is his recruit rank, that we got to redshirt him, and that he's playing LT over Germain Ifedi who had a 2nd rd grade last year.

Maybe he'll be awesome, maybe he will crumble under pressure.

Just to be fair here. 2 sacks in 2 years but he's been healthy for like 1/2 of that. So it's more like 4 in two years if we assume a full season.

I mean, you wouldn't shoot 38 on 9 holes and tell everyone you shot 34 under par.

I know all about Gennessy. He's from Mississippi and it's always particularly galling when a talent like his goes out of state. The starting LT for AU and A&M are both from Desoto county and it's extremely aggravating. That's not the point. The point is that even elite first round talent needs help especially against the DEs in this league eg. Ogbuehi. If you don't want Tunsil protecting your QB then there's no LT in college worth the money.

I understand your point, yes Barnett is a stud. Anyone who argues that is in idiot. But Tunsil will be a franchise left tackle in the NFL for the next 12+ years. Barnett is going to be an All American in college and a first round pick, I think Lawson will as well. If you are going to get beat for a sack once a year, a future first round draft pick is probably the player to get beat by. And please no Miss state comments on this thread, we were walking wounded into the egg bowl last year and our offense still made your defense look like a high school team.

I think Tunsil is plenty talented, that doesn't mean I trust his effort. He seems more concerned with protecting his draft grade than helping the team.

As seen in the videos posted.

He has basically been a top 10 draft pick since the moment he stepped on their campus. Can't really blame him if he is protecting his draft stock.

You mean the one video and one gif? Yeah that's a lot of evidence that he doesn't care about the team.

I think you misunderstand how franchise tags work. I think there have been like 2 OT's tagged in the last 5 or 6 years.

I should've gone with Justin Senior or Justin Malone my apologies I just like Clayborn's look and the fact that his name has that extra a for emphasis

Don't knock the extra a, he's a monster. We will know in a few weeks how good he is at football.

Clausell, Senior, and Malone were patches. They served their purpose well enough but it was basically like doing a good job of seasoning a bad cut of meat. The staff did a fantastic job of making them good enough to eat, but they still aren't filets.
