Face value on UGA-Bama tickets?

Somebody told me it is only 45 dollars for uppers.
Stub hub has it at like 281 dollars now.
UGA must charge a pretty good seat license for their season ticket holders.
I would have guessed face on the Bama@UGA game to be double that.
Do you think we will enter a dynamic pricing era where some blocks of tickets are auctioned to these games by the schools? I could see it happening.

Im sure they will be more expensive when Alabama plays a good team.

Tickets to all games are the same. Last year was 40 for pretty much anywhere. They'll hike up the face on the tickets they send to bama to sell out like all other sec teams do. Seriously away tickets in the upper decks are like 90-120 standard

Last time Bama played at Georgia, uppers were going for $150-200 behind the endzone.

Georgia charges UGA fans $45 a seat with season tickets, $50 with singles. They charge visiting fans whatever the visiting school would charge us to go to their building. Yes the donation can be rather pricey.

For season tickets, you have to make a very substantial donation just to get on the lottery for a chance to buy the whole season, no single game tickets.
The better the seats, the higher the donation to get in the lottery.
Existing season ticket holders are guaranteed, so they don't enter the lottery, but you still have to make your substantial donation each year, as well as the face value of the whole season of tickets.
The only time single game tickets are for sale is when a visiting team returns some of their alottment. And those are gone within 24 hours.

There is a map of Sanford seating with what minimum donations are required per seat, however, as people have mentioned, it depends on if the person selling the tickets has been in the system for a while versus having to shell out a substantial amount of money to get the type of tickets they may want. So face value is tricky.
I am just bummed when I see a ton of away fans in season ticket sections. The amount of Auburn fans I saw sitting I'm my session almost made me puke last Fall. I sort of wish UGA would take pictures and if they see fans in other school colors sitting in your seats, especially during more than one game, they would deny the ability to get lower bowl seats to those season ticket holders, especially as they are likely just buying the seats to sell on stub hub as soon as they arrive.

Is it really a lottery? I thought there was just a cutoff of how much a new donor had to make to get in.

I enjoy getting tickets on stub hub. You realize that if the school did something retarded like that, I wouldn't be able to do that anymore. If people were afraid that scalping their tickets would get their privileges banned, then you'd just start seeing alot of empty seats.

I sit up in 331 with the in laws when I go. They have four season tickets and have had them forever, but they don't give them to just anyone and they attend every home game, for the most part.

No, it's not a lottery. Season ticket holders have the choice of keeping their existing seats or moving to the best available for their cumulative score (lifetime donations) and annual donation amount. New season tickets are allocated to the next highest donor on the list, with a few exceptions for recent alumni and that sort of thing.
Visiting teams are charged the same as they charge us to attend a game in their venue. Fore example, Auburn is charging $90 a seat and Tennessee is charging $100. UT may be $110. Those fans can expect to pay that amount in Athens next year when the face value of most of the tickets is around $50.

I did not realize the visitor tickets were upcharged so much.
Seems like a way to rip off folks. Like charging twice the price of gas to out of staters.

Yeah it's absurd. Senior year I finally was eligible for road tickets. 80 for auburn and I couldn't sell a spare for more than 10 bucks. GT charges us over a hundred. I think USCe was slightly more reasonable

As far as "dynamic" pricing model, not really answered. I think it may be coming for some schools- especially in basketball.

University of Utah is using the dynamic pricing model already for football. $175 for SROs for the season opener against Michigan.

It'll probably go up between now and then. With this bullshite rotating division schedule we have, Bama won't be back in Athens for literally a lifetime for some people.

This is not a practice that is just tied to CFB. Try buying a hinting license in Alabama with an out of state license.
