re: Deuce McAllister or Shaun Alexander: who was better in college?

I'm certainly biased, but I would say Alexander was a little bit better running back, but Deuce was a better football player. They talked about Deuce as a potential NFL receiver. I still wish he had stuck with his college playing weight in the pros. I understand he had to pack on the lbs to take the beating of an every down back, but man he could fly when he was in college.

Eh. I'd say the Heisman winner was.

And Alexander was better than Deuce but it's close. I think it was 2000 or 2001 we had a winning record and Bama had their worst team in decades. And they still beat the hell out of us and Shaun Alexander ran for 953 yards and 36 touchdowns in that game.
