Funny quote from Billy Cannon when he was presented with an award not long long after LSU and UT played (and I'm going from memory so I may not get the quote 100 percent correct but it's the gist of what he said), "Y'all fly me all the way up here to accept this award but last week you wouldn't let me go a single yard."

He was referencing getting stopped short of a TD that would've won the game and accepting the award in Tennessee. Billy was a beloved figure by everyone in his day not just at LSU but not many know about him now.
