every Auburn fan is concerned whether or not our defensive issues were scheme or talent

Think you meant to put AND there. Muschamp will help a lot as his scheme is better for SEC than what Johnson had you guys running, but this AU team is not as talented on D as some of your other teams have been. Well, not as deep. You've got talent up front and at spots on LB, but not as deep as you've been in past and your secondary is suspect.

Agreed, but they are more talented than they played last season. I obviously am hoping it was mostly a scheme issue. I have experienced first hand a team loose the confidence of its coordinator and watched it fall a part. As has been said many times if last years Auburn team had averaged 2 more stops a game last year they would have won 10 game maybe 11 and 2 close games would have been double digit wins. Getting 2 more stops doesn't seem impossible. What might be different is can the offense be as good this year as last year.

I agree with your whole statement. But Johnson also had some internal issues happening between he, the players and the defensive coaches. I think that contributed to the problems on defense and ultimately to his dismissal.
