I mean we were a couple miracles away from 5-7, so that isn't overly convincing.
And if you eliminate the 3rd Quarter from the Mizzou game, and the 2nd quarter from the LSU game, during which we surrendered a total of 45 points, Kyle Allen goes undefeated as a true fish.
I don't think the team lost faith in Sumlin. I think the team lost faith in Hill. Sumlin saw it, but didn't want to baptize Allen in the fires of Bryant-Denny. Sumlin was essentially conceding that game to protect Allen, and I wouldn't be surprised at all to learn that the team picked up on it.
Once Allen took the reins, the rest of the team started to believe they had a chance. They still had struggled some, because Allen was still a true fish, and Snyder was still an incompetent DC.
But no team that has quit on their coach beats #3 Auburn at their house. They don't even stay CLOSE to #3 Auburn at their house.

That's a great point. But to be fair Auburn wasn't who we thought they were either. But still a very legit W for our boys

Auburn was a paper toger, in the end no better than we were record wise. Any SEC road victory is good, but they werent #3 in reality.

And had we played at the level we did at Auburn the rest of the way I would be much more comfident, but the fact is we looked dead against Mizzu and LSU. Those were two of the most uninspired, boring football games I've watched at Kyle in a while.
