59-0 is a statement that something is really really wrong. No gittin around that. Did he lose the team? Don't know. But if he did, he got the team back, and that is no small accomplishment. We were young and thin at all the wrong places. The team clearly thought it was better than it was. We were reeling going into Bama, and we got shown up as pretenders. It was an embarrassment, the kind of thing that I thought was behind us. In hindsight, we were ripe for it last year, especially vs Bama, and at their place. In terms of the maturity of the program, we weren't even in the same conversation as Bama last year. It does nothing, however, to dampen my enthusiasm for this year. If we get embarrassed again, that's a different story. May be way wrong, but I don't see it happening. Even if we turn out not to be elite this year, I think we're gonna be hell to deal with.
