The LSUs and Bamas of the world have strong defenses because their offenses control the ball and the clock with the run game.

By nature of his offensive scheme even with a great defensive coordinator, Sumlin's teams will always give up more yards/points. Which is why the assumption that "Chavis just has to hold teams to x yards" is flawed.


The thing you're missing here is that you understand the game of football, whereas the average aggie doesn't.

You thought Vince Lombardi was a DC, Tom Landry was still alive and LSU always had elite TOP during Chavis' tenure.

You're not exactly blowing this place up with knowledge
