I think Jennings gets a raw deal for the Bama game. Yes he could have run for the first but he's a first year started and had it not been for his performance in regulation play extending drives with his legs I don't think Alabama would have needed overtime to pull that game out possibly. Harris is obviously the better athlete but that doesn't always equate to being a winner.

The Bama game was probably his best game all year, and so while he didn't have a bad game per se, if your best game of the year still isn't good enough to win a game where you need to exploit the opposing team's secondary to win because thats the weakest half of their D, then there's a problem somewhere. Jennings made a few great plays in that game, and throughout the year. But, if you can't complete 50% of your passes, you aren't ready for SEC ball. End of story. I know he's young and the coaches didn't exactly play to his strengths in a complex system, but after over a year in the system an SEC QB should be able to complete 50% of the few passes he was getting. I think that's fair.
Now that being said, Hilliard being hurt early was the real reason we lost. If Hilliard comes in fresh in the 4th quarter like against Wisconsin and Ole Myth, thats a different 4th quarter and we probably win in regulation.

No the better winner is usually the better decision maker. But since neither separates themselves in that area, usually you would at least go with the better athlete. But I'm not a coach. I do t see what goes on in practice. I don't know.
