There's an article about this new book released detailing how Nick Saban would have left Alabama for Texas, and it proves why Alabama is a better job than Texas now. I won't link because of personal feeling about the publishing paper, but you can find it with a quick google search.
Texas has good academics, is located in an extremely fun city for young people, and sits right smack in the middle of the most talented HS football State, with tons of money to spend. The potential at Texas is better than Alabama, which is why Saban showed interest. Here's why Alabama has made their program a better job, and ultimately why he stayed in T-Town. At Texas you are a Booster's bitch, and you are a puppet for a network of extremely arrogant good ole boys fighting for internal control. At Alabama, you call the shots, and you are king. Congrats Bama, you're now universally recognized as a better job than Texas. Interesting read, and also kinda makes you hate Texas even more. The arrogance is actually at impressive levels.

Give Strong 2 more seasons of mediocrity, and Saban still can go....

Somebody posted this same shite last week, but I'm not gonna say Germans or anything, even though it is.

That's not what Dr. Goebbels told me.

Without a doubt, Strong is in over his head, and will likely be fired after his 2nd losing season.
I have a hard time believing Saban would have been steamrolled by the Texas boosters.

he is or was selling one of his million dollar lake houses, which didn't make sense to me unless he spends all his vacation time at his other million dollar lake house.
it's hard to imagine that Saban is ever a "fun" guy on things like vacations, just so, even paying out nearly half of it to the Uncle plus his agent, dude has to have a nice big bank of many millions piled up now.
i can't see him leaving for the money.
