So glad, PNW included Whitehall Forest in the original post. Love that area. Also, Flinchum's Phoenix was always fun for every party I attended there. It is truly a wonderful location for a laid back party.

Also, the area around Memorial Park, including the hiking/running trail is so nice to be able to get away without getting in a car.

Finally, the trails at the Botanical Gardens were always a favorite haunt as well.

On a related note, it'd be cool if the University would do something with the old beach at Lake Herrick. Turn it into a rowing boat house a la Tennessee or something. I haven't seen a person on that beach in years, let alone in the water.
