I have a confession to make. I thought I was going to take it to my grave, but alas I'm drunk so I'll spill.

One time, when I was a junior, me and my buddy were hammered and we walked under it on the way back from downtown.

I've never forgotten it and I've always regretted it. I'm truly ashamed and a small part of me will never forgive myself.

I disagree. The tradition was and still is that freshmen are not allowed to walk under the arch, with the penalty of being doomed to failure to graduate. If you are not a freshmen, then you are free to walk under it.
