but how big was UGA in the first 100 years? I suspect most of its students were the rich kids of slave owners and wealthy merchants.

It takes a lot for me to agree with auburnphan, in fact I don't think it's ever happened before now, but dude quit derailing this thread.

If you want to debate the history of clemson vs athens please start a different thread. This thread was going great until you came along. This isn't personal or me attacking you or anything, but honestly the thread is going off the rails because of this.
