They have had a lot of attrition at RB this off-season. If Henry gets hurt for a game or a few games, is Alabama in trouble?

Doubt it. RBs are pretty fungible. Doubt there would be much drop off with whoever would be next up.

Kenyan Drake didn't die, he just broke his leg last year.

yes ... saban likes 2 backs that can pound it ... drake's strength isn't between the tackles ... henry's strength isn't between the tackles either, but he's not as bad in that regards as we make him out to be ... but it would mean a freshman has to carry it quite a bit ... much more than we'd like ...

IMO, not really "in trouble", but RB is a position where we really don't need any injuries.

If Henry went down, the Drake would move to more of a full-time RB role, as opposed to his RB/WR hybrid role, a la Reggie Bush. After Drake, it would be either one of 2 freshman, or the converted LB who was a scout team beast last year.

One freshman, Scarborough, was the "future is now" beast we needed, but he's now recovering from knee surgery. Surprisingly, his knee may be ready for Fall camp/early season work. The other freshman has been on campus for a month or 2. Good looking kid, but uber green. Also, the converted LB doesn't look bad, but is a bruiser type - not elite quickness. However, he dropped 10-15 pounds in the offseason, so maybe he picked up a step.

Simply put, losing Henry would suck, but we theoretically could manage, although I think we'd start throwing more.

'Bama will never recover after losing McCarron. Bama loses by 50 in Death Valley.

The way Bama recruits, I doubt that they'd be in trouble. Even if they're relatively thin at RB, there's probably a safety or light LB that they could plug in and no one would notice.

How much of that attrition was processed, though? Alabama does this every year.

About as much as any other team would be in trouble losing their first team RB. We would be alright with Drake and Harris though.

We are pretty thin at the RB position. Maybe moreso than other seasons in recent memory. Of course it would hurt. It'll just make the games that much more suspenseful and exciting!

We're in trouble if any of our remaining RBs get hurt.

Is nebraska in trouble if their fans keep jumping onto the Bama bandwagon on message boards?
