Don't forget 2003, when Matt Jones run all over them Austin. They still finished 10-3 that year, despite losing to Arkansas at home. Sorta like LSU in 2007, now that I think about it.

It's sad that Strong may not be given ample opportunity to win at Texas.

Because they don't Win a lot of games . It's just like they make a big deal about beating Ole Mis and LSU like they were actually better then them . They know they are a average SEC program at best and have looked like one of the worst in the SEC in recent years.

And then sometimes we dominate, but get hosed by the officials so bad that they are suspended. Florida was gifted a victory over Arkansas this way, but Texas was handed 12-15 wins this way in my 35 years of watching.

That stat is a little deceiving considering that Arkansas actually has a winning record versus Texas in recent history.
By recent history, I mean the last 28 years.
The series started 14-0 Texas. They were a hell of a team back during World War I.

Before recruiting limits Texas,and other big programs,used to stockpile the best athletes.Not to play,but to keep them from other teams.
Heck,their third team could beat a lot of team's.This developed a David vs Goliath type of thinking when we faced them and we were successful probably more times than our program should have been.
Now with scholarship limits the field has been somewhat leveled and we have been able to exact plenty of revenge on them,especially without SWC officiating.
Watching them drop like a rock is great,but I'd like to kick their butt again at their best because I believe the sec has made us stronger and I want to rub their nose in it...

Texas sucks right now. Beating them is not that big of an accomplishment.
But the manner in which Arky dominated that game in Houston was damn impressive. In a word: beatdown

I do not think anyone would mistake me for an Arkansas fan, but anyone with eyes can see that victory was impressive.
It was total domination, and I do not care how down Texas was, Arkansas made them look more like Kansas than Texas.
Arkansas has had a crap two years prior to last season. They ended the season with tremendous progress and the Texas game just reinforced they are moving in the right direction.
I do not think Arkansas is about to win a national title, but they are playing really well in a really tough division.
