That's why the preseason is a bunch of crap. The west will be crazier than last year while the east slap fights and Uga can't decide if they want to win it or not.

It is easy to explain. The formula they used for votes allowed Auburn to garner the most first places votes crowning them SEC champs. However, because of the sliding scale for total points Alabama had more total points in that they were picked 1-3 by everyone and Auburn was picked 4th by several voters. The SEC is decided by first place votes and the divisions are decided by total points per vote.
What we know is they think Auburn, Georgia and Alabama are the safest bets for Atlanta. The fact that all 3 play each other almost ensures that won't happen. Though there are a few examples in the past.
I believe some see the potential of Auburn, and rightfully so some see the issues with the end of last season.
