As an Ole Miss fan, please stop posting, or at least take your stupid avatar and sig shite down. It's just embarrassing to anyone who has graduated from Ole Miss in the past 30 years.
Why is that embarrassing?

Ole Miss got it by beating number 2 ranked team that didn't win the natty. Still a solid upset but shouldn't have won IMO
To be honest, yeah, I don't think us beating Bama was the biggest upset of the year. I had a $500 on the line that said we would beat Alabama with my cousin who is a Bama fan. I knew it came down to one thing: If Good or Bad Bo showed up. Good Bo showed up, so we won. We were a legitimately good team last year playing another legitimately good team. It was a 3 point line, so by default there's no reason we should have qualified for that.
Now it was the greatest day in Ole Miss football history, but us beating Florida in 2008 was a much bigger upset than that. I think State slaughtering A&M was bigger than that actually.

The fact that you don't know is why Mississippi can't have nice things.

I'm guessing you just crawled out of a time capsule from 1965.

Wasn't Ole Miss favored in that game by 2 points?

People view that flag differently. I'll stand up for it. Some soldiers fought, not because of racism or slavery, but because it was their homeland. It's southern history. It's american history, and it's freedom of speech. Most will never see that flag the way I do. Sorry if you judge me and crucify as a racist for supporting it.

I don't get excited about flags, as I'm not a flaggot.

You should have the right to display that flag, my point is you're embarrassing us.

The thing is though, you need to enter the modern age. Imagine if a German was showing off the Nazi flag proclaiming that he's right in showing it due to the imperialism of the West when they royally fricked over Germany after WWI. Yes, he has a point that what we did to Germany after that war was completely unfair, but he's ignoring every other horrible thing that flag represents.

As the great George Carlin once said: I leave symbols to the symbol minded.

People died for what that flag represented. I think you should be ashamed for making fun of it.

It's a pretty flag, but I can see why people get pissed off by it.
Not to mention I know no one who fought under that flag. I guess I could say that my ancestors fought under a British flag at one point to murder the indigenous people, but I just don't care that much since those people would be dead at this point anyway. There's no need to respect them, especially since they are on the wrong side of history. Slavery is something not worth fighting for. But I guess you wish the South had won and became it's own country.

Stop comparing it to the Nazi flag. That's like comparing the Nword to the word ****t. We all know which is worse.

Well, yes the Nazis were worse by putting Jews and others into gas chambers and trying to purify the world into a white only Aryan world. But that doesn't excuse slavery. The Confederates weren't as bad as the Nazis, but I guess the Nazis could use the same excuse with the Japanese saying they weren't as cruel and ruthless as they were. It's a moot fricking point. It's all completely morally deplorable regardless.
