Farve signed with USM as a defensive back. Rogers was a JUCO guy that only got an offer from Cal because Tedford saw him while scouting one of his WRs. Brees was passed over by the in-state schools in Texas. Wilson was a two star recruit with offers from lower tier ACC schools.
So no, no one was saying that any of those guys would even be great college QBs, let alone that it would be the pinacle of their career.

Thank you for further proving the point I was making. To say one will plateau in college and another has a better shot at the pros is the proverbial crap shoot at best. Those guys were over looked and still made to the NFL and performed at a very high level. Who knows both Franks and Patterson may flame out in college.
