It's not a simple left vs. right debate. Seen folks on both sides who support flying it and support removing it from political seats respectively, but I also see a lot of folks resorting to lazy partisan narratives. Not calling out this board specifically, just something I've noticed online in response to recent events.

I'm as GOP as they come, but imho, the flag has no place being supported by modern-day political seats of power.

As always, private citizens should be free to fly what they want, be it the battle flag or nazi flags or anything else that's questionable. No skin off my nose.

Is it then a black white thing?

Young old thing?

Male female thing?

It was time for it to come down .... there will be long term repercussions for many politicians here in SC .... so it is a political thing. But it's deeper and more complicated than all of that.

While my aunt was the keynote speaker on the steps of the statehouse less than two weeks ago .... demanding the flag come down. Her neice, a staunch liberal life long Democrat was enraged by the ceremony and the cheering and cat-calling and Nah Nah Nah Nah hey hey hey goodbye clasdlessness shown by the fricktard out of towners in attendance.

My state has handled all of this with far more dignity and grace than probably any other might have .... but that in and of itself is a catch 22.
