can we establish this. It's hard keeping track of tRant's standards. I'm sick of this argument being used whenever it is convenient for your team (looking at you uga)

If it involves your team? Yes. Otherwise, no.

apparently teh last week has been "missouri has self esteem and self-worth issues and needs to take it out on georgia" week.

12- yall had a lot of injuries. It contributed to having a crappy season
13- uga had a lot of injuries. it contributed to us having a crappy season
14- both teams relatively healthy. uga won head to head. missouri won more sec games and won the division. both teams has pretty ok seasons.

That shoudl sum up the entire situation in a nutshell. But I have a feeling people will ignore it.

Another excuse will fall into it's place if it's not injuries. That's the way of the loser. Injuries, refs, young team, etc.

Depends on the sport, position, how valuable the player is, and how bad the back up is.

Really depends on position. Injury at the QB can kill a team

Backs are generally more replaciable as are recievers.

Tackles and centers can hurt more than guards

Defensive line guys usually roll in and out of a game more so than most positions so unless its clowney I would say shouldnt hurt

Middle linebacker is critical to most defenses this would hurt

DB's hurt more than any other position on D other than the mike.

Kickers and punters can affect you as well

But we all recruit big time players so it should be the next man up in most cases other than Qb in my opinion

I'm assuming you are wanting to know if a team can use the "injury" excuse when defending whether or not their team is good.

My opinion is that injuries are part of the game and do a lot to expose depth issues. Teams that have injuries and still perform (Kenyan Drake last year), are good. Teams that have injuries and struggle (Treadwell), are bad.

Depends. Florida two years ago had a crazy string of injuries that certainly were an excuse for their play.

But, Auburn for example, last year they were without Carl Lawson which is certainly a loss but not enough to really excuse the defensive woes. Auburn missed Coates and Williams at times but I wouldn't necessarily say those losses excused poor performances.

Just depends

It depends on the amount of injuries too. I believe you were hit hard on the OL in 12 and we were starting walk ons at wr and our 5th string RB in 13.

Depends.

If a team loses a player who contributes to a team as much as say Manziel and Dak, yes.

Depends. Last year, AUs two best linemen, and best WR were out for the UGa game. But they won't acknowledge that. They will bring their injuries up for their L's, tho.
