you might want to answer these questions yourself. but first why dont you go and see what the definition of decade is.
Look in the mirror. Educate yourself when a decade ends and when a new decade starts. Then write down on paper the years the national championships were won and when they fall in for a decade. Your homework assignment is due back by 1:00 PM EST today.

Ohio state had a 7 win season (I think).
6-7 in the year between Tressel and Meyer. Sandwiched between a 12-1 Sugar Bowl winning team and a 12-0 team who wasn't allowed to go to a bowl

OSU and MI have national championships stretch back each of the last three decades.
Since 1990 Auburn has had 2 undefeated seasons, a undefeated season which included a national championship and a national championship appearance. During the same period Alabama has 4 national titles.
This time period saw the SEC rise to dominance, which has lasted pretty much to the present. At the same time, the Big 10 has been extremely top heavy (to OSU's credit) and in overall decline in both entertainment value and success.
How is it ignorant to note that the trend has favored the Iron Bowl? Sure, the last 5 years brought us perhaps the greatest play in CFB history and one of the more meaningful comeback games in CFB history, but the significance isn't merely formed during that period.
It is, however, pretty ignorant not to recognize what "trend" means in this context. If UM/OSU was king prior to the referenced period, and AU/UA has caught up or exceeded during that period, the "trend" is obviously with the Iron Bowl.

Your ad is a moron for not self-imposing a bowl ban in 2011.

Because when you look at it across time and not cherry pick years, there are ups and downs in each rivalry. Thus, when you look at each rivalry in its whole, it is clearly OSU vs MI.
I think Alabama vs Auburn has produced 11 or 12 games where each team was ranked in the top 10 and MI vs OSU has produced 18 games where both teams were ranked in the top 10.
It just happens that a game between Alabama vs Auburn being ranked in the top 10 at the same time is more recent.
Harbaugh could easily have Michigan back in the top 10 in a couple of years while OSU is in the top 10.
People always assume the current state of a program will always remain static. It NEVER has and never will. Every program goes up and down.

Ill help,
"last three decades" is the past 30 years, not 90's, 00's, and 10's
Now if you would have said in each of the decades of the 90's, etc... you would have been correct. However your point still doesnt really compare as the AU/UA rivalry's numbers are better(thanks to bama)

This isn't my point and you're assuming a lot of things I'm not saying. I've clearly acknowledged that Meyer and Harbaugh could really rejuvenate that rivalry.
My point is that if we're going to insist on crowning winners in various categories of rivalry aspects, I think the Iron Bowl is winning the momentum category, the entertainment category, the intensity category and the recent importance category.
I acknowledged that the momentum could shift given the state of OSU and Harbaugh, but I think it would take a few years to solidify that, most likely.

You didn't know that Michigan/Ohio State was a rivalry?
Not until 2008.

So am I to understand that national implication is what makes a rivalry?
Ignore him. He isn't one of us so he doesn't get it. I doubt that Nebraska starts singing a song damning their rival immediately after every win.

Since you missed it first time.
Really had no clue about the rivalry in 2006. I literally had to go to Google to figure out why I had no idea about this game. It's because I was on Paris Island going through boot camp and around November I was probably more worried about qualifying expert on the rifle range or getting ready for the Crucible than a football game.
See the above. And by "didn't know shite" I mean I didn't even know it was a rivalry. I wasn't a huge college football fan at the time. I followed the SEC would watch bowl games and the NC game and that was about it. Didn't follow stats of anyone didn't memorize players names. And I didn't have cable or satellite so it was more hey football game on TV and I'd watch it. With the ol rabbit ears antenna that was almost entirely SEC or Sun Belt games.

Well, now we know you're lying. Whether you loved or hated tB1G(or even as a casual fan), you certainly would have heard about The Game in 2006.

but at least you knew it was a thing. No one is going to argue the regional draw of the rivalry, but it's not on the same national level as OSU/UM
And I'm calling bullshite, no way you didn't know about the game in 2006

Michigan/Ohio St...
You don't see those teams cheering for each other when the other is in the National Championship like Auburn and Alabama does to "keep it in the state".
Then again Michigan and Ohio St are real rivals.

Noted. The people I was with were very inviting. Unwilling to sancrifice my values I was still dressed in purple and gold and most people looked at me like I had my head cut off. I got a lot of shite for that.

Michigan and Ohio State by far. I've lived in Ohio and currently live in South Alabama. There really isn't that close of a comparison here.
