Spare me the fluff. The real issue is RACISM and how America tries to brush it aside or mock the idea of it when it is a gigantic reality.

The reality is race is much less of an issue than the media portrays it to be. Anytime anything happens to any black person by a white person, there seems to be an influx of media attention that otherwise wouldn't happen. This is not the case for this one, because we finally have one with a clear cut racist motivation (aside from the obvious mental health problems).

Seven cops beat white man viciously. Almost no media attention.

Unarmed white man shot and killed in Michigan, no media attention.

Cops kill unarmed white man, no media coverage.

Taking the race bait, hook, line and sinker. It happens to every race, it just never gets reported until it happens to a black person because that's what starts threads, gets clicks and causes people to react violently.

The Health Care problem is extensive, and we are lightyears behind other countries regarding it. We're just made to believe that the race problem is worse than it is.

It is a huge issue... well not for those who have little to no sympathy for the ones being victimized or the ones who are actually victims.

Like clockwork though, you guys give life to my earlier assertions. Watch how you either deny, evade or belittle the impact of race.

The only shock I have is one of you haven't accused me of being a racist for daring to go against your opinion that you should determine how these victims should feel about being victimized.

Preach the truth!

This thread was made to specifically address mental health and it is being hijacked in the name of racism.

That right there is the money shot. Not saying there is not racism, just saying using racism allows us to disconnect between "us vs them" instead of focusing on the harder issues within ourselves. In short, lets say black vs white instead of cousin willie is mentally ill, and as he is mentally ill we may catch it (especially if we are related) so we talk about racism instead.

Watch a community when mental illness strikes and everybody runs like the plague has struck yet call it something else and everybody rallies in safe disassociation. It is easier to pass blame on others as racist than find fault in own mental illness.

Again, I ask a point blank question of experience and motives and get walled off instead of open and honest discussion.
