I will be heading to Grand Ilse for Labor day weekend/week. How bad is the traffic coming from Montgomery, AL. Google maps says to take 65 down to I-10. But I have heard I-10 can be pain ful at times.

We will be going to NOLA sometime for a day week trip. Is the aquarium and zoo still any good? I was in the aquarium back in 2010. Mainly want to see my 15 month old daughter's reaction at the animals.

Man I'd avoid 10 on the weekends at ALL costs. Took me two hours to go no more than ten miles a week ago. Maybe take 10 to 603, head to Picayune and go down 59 or something (would add an additional 30 minutes, approximately). Seriously, avoid 10 between Hancock County and Slidell at all costs. Luckily, the traffic issues are only eastbound at the moment.

The zoo and aquarium still rock. Sounds like a fun day with your little one

Now is the time to avoid the I 65 and I 10 interchange in Mobile. I live here and it can be pretty bad toward the weekends. The good thing for you is that you will be going West. Most of the crazy traffic is usually heading East towards the beaches during the summer and weekends. Labor day weekend I would avoid at all costs because it is a complete mess up during that or any other weekend holiday.

Have fun, my boys love the NOLA zoo. I think, if I remember correctly, they are down an elephant or maybe all of them because one died and the other was grieving so much they had to do something about that too.
