how is it hating on vandy to say Clemson, and other public colleges, are as good as Vandy? that makes no sense.

you never proved they are better. What makes US News the judge and jury on colleges? Nobody hired them or elected them to that position

private schools are mostly silver spoon rich kids. it is not surprising rich kid schools are ranked higher than publics in general. Follow the money

Fair enough. But "following the money" doesn't explain why the engineering programs at Berkeley, Illinois, Michigan and Purdue are ranked in their top 10.

Oh, good lord. Let it go. We get it -- you're insecure. None of us had a word to say about the value of a Clemson degree until you decided it was imperative that you let us know that you're upset that few people consider Clemson on Vanderbilt's level. Me, I've always been quite clear that I think most major universities are just fine and being elitist about my own would be obnoxious. Most of the posters here who know me know that.

If you're lucky, maybe you'll find a USC poster or two to validate your intense need to defend your university. Until then, though, get a grip, because you really are coming across as being extremely insecure about the quality of your education. Trust me, none of us gives, or gave, a damn about you or whether you attended a school good enough to require us to take you seriously.
