Elite 11 - yeah, it matters. Deal with it.

Ten of the past 11 Heisman-winning quarterbacks were Elite 11 finalists.
That is why it matters.

Sorry, but the Heisman has lost a lot of pizzaz since the move to more spread formations. Numbers get inflated, and then you see just how little they know about being a QB, reading defenses prior, calling an audible, and knowing their windows of execution at the next level.

Jacob Eason won't have that problem.

100% agree with that however I'll take a heisman winner putting up gaudy stats in college over a technician who peaks in the pros.

Jameis Winston's Elite 11 finalists class:
Austin Appleby; Purdue
Neal Burcham; SMU
Shane Dillon; Colorado
Bart Houston; Wisconsin
Chad Kelly; Clemson -> Mississippi
Zach Kline; California
Jeff Lindquist; Washington
Tanner Mangum; Brigham Young Elite 11 MVP
Zeke Pike; Auburn -> Louisville
Chad Voytik; Pittsburgh
Jameis Winston; Florida State Elite 11 MVP
Hardly an indicator of success overall. Loads of crap college QBs.

Is this the same elite 11 that almost didn't have Josh Rosen in it because Dilfer questioned his ability to be coached up?

At least he can guarantee some wins on the schedule vs the AUterds.

Very excited to see what Guarantano can do in Orange. He seems like a legit prospect, although, I do tend to agree that QB recruiting can be a bit of a crap-shoot.

I think it's moreso a case of when you're a good HS QB you get lots of accolades like the Elite 11, Army All-American game, etc. You can be a good QB and not get invited. And you can have busts.
