People with a true gluten allergy, called celiac disease, are few and far between. They are pretty pissed about this fad.

Why would they be pissed? This fad has probably brought more gluten-free products to the market, which should be good for people who are allergic to it.

I didn't say they were rioting in the streets, but the person I know with celiac has dealt with it since he was a baby. The symptoms are dibilitating, and it's not something you just discover one day and claim to have like so many hipsters and soccer moms are nowadays. It would be akin to someone with a life-threatening peanut allergy sitting across the table from someone else claiming to have the same thing when in reality their farts just smell kinda bad after they eat a snickers.

If you had a legit, serious disease, and then the rest of the country pretended they had it to fall in with some hipster fad, wouldn't you be a bit miffed?
