interesting article on which Alabama high schools have the most current roster NFL players.

Foley, Gadsden City and Vigor have three players apiece on the NFL's current rosters, more than any other Alabama high schools.
NFL teams are carrying 90 players apiece heading into the beginning of their OTAs – Organized Team Activities – over the next two weeks as part of their offseason programs. Each team will shed 37 players by the time the regular season arrives in September, but for now NFL dreams are alive for 88 former Alabama high school stars.
Sixty-four Alabama high schools have at least one player on an NFL roster.
Foley's players are San Diego Chargers offensive tackle D.J. Fluker, Atlanta Falcons wide receiver Julio Jones and Carolina Panthers safety Robert Lester.
Last season, the Lions led Alabama's high schools with four players who appeared in at least one NFL regular-season game. Linebacker Justin Anderson played for the New York Giants last season, but the former Foley standout is not on an NFL roster at this time.
Gadsden City's players are Green Bay Packers running back Alonzo Harris, Detroit Lions linebacker Jerrell Harris and Cincinnati Bengals cornerback Dre Kirkpatrick.
Vigor's players are Tennessee Titans fullback Jalston Fowler, Jacksonville Jaguars defensive tackle Sen'Derrick Marks and San Diego Chargers defensive end Darius Philon.

Those are 3 miserable places to live.
There has to be a correlation.

Seems like they left somebody from Prattville out.

That list is wrong for Decatur HS.
Jerraud Powers plays for the Arizona Cardinals.
He and Rolando make two.

And it really sucks that they left him off.
My son plays for DHS and Jerraud comes back to help the team out all the time.
Jerraud offered to buy EVERYTHING for their uniforms but Coach Adcock is a staunch Russell and won't ditch Russell for Nike. So, Jerraud has bought Nike everything he could for the team.
He has given -
-Nike warm ups for 100+ players ($200 for the set)
-Four pair of Nike cleats for 100+ players - two practice and two game day
-Nike equipment bags for 100+ players
-Six pair of Nike Elite socks for 100+ players
-Got Nike to make Decatur "D" playing gloves - like the college ones with the logo inside, he got them specially made for all the players
-A freaking 18 wheeler full of Gatorade products
-Brand new technology suite - MacBooks, flatscreens, Apple TVs, and software and digital cameras to make filming and film watching easier.
I love for Rolando for what he did at Bama and he practically grew up at our neighbor's house but Jerraud holds a special place in my heart for all he has given back to the Red Raider football program. Unfortunately, Rolando hasn't even been back once to talk to the boys.
Jerraud may be an Auburn man but he will tell you he is a Red Raider first.
I'd be proud if my boy grows up to be half the man Jerraud Powers is.

Damn, that's awesome to hear about Powers. Need more like him.
And it's not like he is some scrub nfl player either. He is a good DB.
Shame on AL.com.

I though Greenwood was still tolling around on a practice squad.
