Sometimes I think these lists mistake "iconic" for "attractive". I get that I'm in a minority, but I find the iconic -- and they are iconic -- golden domes to be somewhat garish, and the iconic -- and still definitely iconic -- winged helmets of Michigan to be a little odd-looking from most angles. But, as I said, I know I'm in the minority.

I agree. Just because a school has used a uniform for 100 years without changing it doesn't make it the 'best' uniform.

Nebraska, Alabama and Penn State are iconic, but too damned bland to be considered 'best' uniform. They're iconic only because they're some of the best programs, historically.
