ironic coming from a guy who has bitched for years about how unfair cross-division rivalries are.

He said in Baton Rouge. Teams want neutral site games. But I still don't buy it.

That isn't what he said, but please continue with your false narrative.

lol. The only reason why stupid Wisky agreed to play LSU was Barry Alvarez's attempt to make the program bigger then it is when Bret B. won the conference titles. Barry was still expecting Bret to be the head coach at Wisconsin when those games were scheduled. Well, reality has struck and they are now on their third head coach since the time those games were scheduled..lol.

Try calling Barry today to schedule another series and you will get a flat no.

FIFY

Think about it, when is the last time a big name school came to TS? I believe is was V Tech and they got destroyed. We always have to play a neutral site.

What does this have to do with OOC play?

No question Tiger Stadium is one of the best homefield advantages in college football, but when you add in that Baton Rouge sucks and the fans have a bad reputation, why would anyone want to voluntarily schedule a game there?

Arkansas doesn't mind it because we play pretty well there and can give it right back to them as we did when they had to come up to War Memorial every other year. Now we treat them to high class Fayetteville which they don't deserve.

Teams aren't scared to play LSU. They're scared to play them in Baton Rouge.

I'll say, I miss the days when teams would do home-home series with big time opponents. USC-Auburn was good, Oklahoma-Alabama (even in our down years) was entertaining, LSU has had a couple. I absolutely loved the Ohio State-Texas games from 05-06.

I loved traveling up to State College for the Penn State game and seeing their campus and stadium.

We weren't to scared to play at LSU. In fact we could have won the game at LSU, unlike our game at WVU

Disclaimer-we lost both.

Because they are. Why should Bama, Auburn, LSU,Florida, Georgian and Used to be Tenn have to play an elite cross division game every year but the other 8 dont?

Seriously though...what major conference team ia going to agree to play a top tier team on the road without a preexisting rivalry already locked in?

The only true road games nonconference I've seen between top teams in the last 4 years that meet this description:

Michigan State at Oregon 2014
Notre Dame at Florida State 2014
LSU at West Virginia 2011

Alleva is the perfect AD for that pussy fan base. LSU and Alleva are afraid of UF, so he tries to spin that into teams are afraid of a team that lost 5 or 6 games last year and doesn't have a Division 1 qb on its roster. Pahhhllleeeesssseeeee. What a joke.
