What each team needs to do for a national seed? (LSU, VU, A&M, UF)

LSU 46-9 21-8 RPI (5)
Vanderbilt 39-17 20-10 RPI (12)
Texas A&M 43-10 18-10 RPI (7)
Florida 40-15 19-11 RPI (6)
I can't remember the last time I've seen 4 teams with almost identical resumes heading into the SEC tournament.
In your mind what does each team need to do this week to play its way into a national seed?
My opinions...
LSU - lock (1-2 wins could secure the #1)
Vanderbilt - outside looking in (need's to win tournament)
Texas A&M - In (Reaching the championship should lock up a #6 #7 or #8 spot)
Florida - In (Reaching the championship should lock up a #6 #7 or #8 spot)
Vanderbilt 39-17 20-10 RPI (12)
Texas A&M 43-10 18-10 RPI (7)
Florida 40-15 19-11 RPI (6)

We've gone into deeper discussion on this in another thread. Its basicall the last 2 spots for Missouri St, DBU, UF, A&M, and Vanderbilt. I personally think all 3 SEC schools deserve it over the MV schools, but who knows what will happen.
What each team needs depends on what other teams do. I think all SEC schools need to be rooting for Bradley to upset DBU and MSU. I also think 2 wins (get to Saturday) will go a long way for each SEC team. There is a decent shot a national seed could ocme down to A&M vs Vandy in the semi final, but who knows. The winner might have lost to the loser 2 days before.
I think UF has the best resume at this point, but its so close.

I think Florida and A&M should be national seeds unless they both go 2Q. Vandy needs Florida and A&M both to struggle and win the tournament or come damn close

I agree I think
LSU
UCLA
TCU
Louisville
are locked up disregarding the order
Illinois
Miami
are two teams that are on the inside but need to avoid going 0-2 and leaving the door open
Texas A&M
Florida
Vanderbilt
Dallas Baptist
Missouri St.
The Missouri Valley will only get 1 bid the other will go to the other SEC team, with that being said if say Vanderbilt and A&M make the championship it'll get interesting.

1 or none is what I was getting at. I do not think they'll get 2. Whoever wins the tourney is going to have a real shot, assuming its DBU or MSU. Even if DBU keeps the #1 RPI and doesn't win the tourney, I don't think they will get it. Even if MSU wins both conference titles they'll still have an SOS in the 80s, 1 nice weekend win (DBU), and little else vs top25/50/100. Might be enoguh, might not. As I stated in the other thread, MSU cannto host a super as their ballpark is shared with AA and they have a home series that weekend.

No doubt. There is 0% chance both get a top 8 and I only see it being Dallas Baptist if they win the conference.

Missouri State should get it over Dallas Baptist, despite DB's wishy washy #1 RPI they finished several games behind Missouri State for the MVC title.

Ditto. I'm glad Kyle is going to look somewhat similar.

What happens in the case they do get a national seed, and advance.

I would think whoever wins the regional matched up with theirs would host. And while they are not suppose to rank 8-16 I would think they might match them with one of the teams who just missed a national seed and say it just worked out that way.

if Ole Miss goes 2Q in the SECT, are they still in. 30-28 overall would have to put them into very questionable territory right? I see they're a projected 2 seed now, though, so what's the deal with them?

Oh look, a Rob Childress team fades down the stretch to miss out on a for sure national seed, all they had to do was win 2 out of 3 from one of their last two series and not get swept in the other.

Its just 1Q and they did. They are still in solidly. Makes no difference between 2 or 3. I would think still a 2 though.

That's right. Forgot the SECT changed it's format

With the Missouri Valley conundrum, I could see the committee giving whichever of DBU/Mo. State wins the MVC tournament a national seed, but putting them opposite A&M. If it is DBU, they would get to host the super, but their fans would probably be outnumbered in their own park.
