Really? I wonder why Vegas isn't seeing it the same way. You are currently 4th pick in the SEC W....and that's putting you ahead of Arkansas...which we know you will likely struggle against with your style of defense. jmo. I don't think any team in the West can make this statement, but certainly not a team that may have no identity on offense.

It's really convenient to ignore the qualifier to that number 10 I picked out. I don't see a scenario where we win 8 or 9 games, I think it will be 6-7, or it will be 10+ and I gave my reasons why.

I think you will be third or 4th overall in defense in the West. You are quick...but light.

Our starters on the defensive line are all stout. Our backups are as well, minus Haynes and Gross, but both have proven to be valuable. Denzel Nkemdiche is small, but CJ Johnson at MLB will be a big upgrade over DT physically.

Our secondary can absolutely lay the wood, and they're all big guys for the positions. Connor, Shepard, Bridges, Webster and Elston can all hit.

I could be wrong, but I think a great year for Ole Miss this coming year will be another 4 loss season.

You are wrong with that one. We have at least four first rounders for next year's draft, Connor may fall to the second somewhere. We have increased our win total every year under Freeze and built to this one. If we go 9-4, we will fire at least Matt Luke because it is going to be a lot of his fault.

All of this is conjecture at this point as the season is three-plus months away. You don't know how we'll play, and I don't either. I have the advantage in knowing a lot more about Ole Miss's team than you do, but you have the advantage on not seeing the team with homer eyes like I do. I can only offer my insight into what we have and what is expected.

It can't be overstated enough: QB play and the offensive line staying healthy will dramatically decide the team's fate this year.

Again, not trying to be a dick...but do you not think that LSU/Bama/Auburn have the same and more of it? Overall, all three of those teams are more talented that Ole Miss, and it's not debatable. You had a good class for one year and got a few big names.....a couple are outstanding, the OT and WR....the big name on D is not outstanding, but he still gets the recognition. You had the type of class for one year that those three basically get every year....and even A&M has more talent. I'll agree you have more than Arkansas and State, but Arky is a bad matchup for you. This can't be overstated: The best season you have had in 40 years is a three loss season. You are going into the year with a completely unknown offense. Your defense is good, but again, vulnerable to strong running teams. You are crazy if you think you are going to just walk into the SEC and suddenly win 10 or more games without an offense and a small but quick defense.
