When I moved to my new place in January, I set up an appointment for comcast to bring me my stuff. I could have gotten it myself, but dealing with the mouthbreatherse and human trash that would be in the Comcast store in the middle of the day would be worse than the DMV so I declined. I had an 11am appointment, and they guarantee a 30 minute window. Ok, no problem, I'll just take a bit longer lunch today. 11:30, not there. 12, not there. 1:30, not there. So after multiple, repeated phone calls to comcast they tell me the driver is close. I had a 2:00 apointment that day that I had to miss (wasn't a HUGE deal, as others were there for me but still I woudl have liked to be there). This dumbass is visibly high when he gets there. He sets everything up, and I don't get any HD channels, just standard. I ask him about that, he says I probably need to buy a new HDMI cable (I had bought a new one the week before in prep). I wanted him to just GTFO of my place so I said whatever. I go buy another cable. Still no HD channels. I call comcast again to set up another appointment (it's about a week before they can send someone again). Different guy comes (only about 30 minutes late this time) and says the box is fricked up. He goes to the van and gets me a new one and so now it works. So I basically went 2 weeks with no TV. Also, my internet is slow as shite, so I basically dont' even get on my computer at home and just use my phone. It'll work for about 60 seconds at a time, then "go out" for a few seconds, then come back. It's fine if I'm just on message boards, but if I"m trying to load a video or something it's horrendous (and it affects netflix sometimes for this reason), and I don't even attempt to purchase anything on my home computer anymore because of it. I made that mistake once, and the internet went out while the card was processing. Took a few weeks to get things straightened out with the company I was ordering from and my CC to make the purchase go through. But as bad as that is...I am so incredibly hateful of Comcast that it's worth it to me to just accept shitty internet simply so I don't have to communicate with them. Any time I ever call, it's someone in India who can barely speak English and who is quite clearly reading off of a script like a robot.

Whatever you do, avoid comcast if you can at all, possibly help it.

Looks like I'm going with Uverse. All their BS charges for everything sucks though.
