You wanna know how bare the cupboard was? For the 2008 draft, following the 2007 season, Alabama had 0 draft picks. It was only the fourth time in history Alabama had no players selected and was the first time in 38 years it had happened.
Saban turned that around into the greatest recruiting engine in college football history in all of 1-2 years.
