Read between the lines:
1. A murder has occurred.
2. La'el has had a relationship with the person.
3. The baby is very likely his.
4. The Police have information that need questioning.
5. The Police want answers from La'el on the information they have.
6. La'el has retained the services of one of the best defense attorney's in the state of LA.
7. NFL Security has hired PI's and they have more information than the media and public.
8. La'el is falling like a rock in the draft and NFL teams don't want to touch him right now. There are serious reasons why.
Bottom Line: This is a very serious situation. No one knows anything concrete, but let's just say I'm not defending La'el nor am I convicting him. There are some very serious questions that need to be answered. That is all.
