I wouldn't subject myself to a lie detector, but if it was me I would have called my lawyer on first contact by the cops and then went to answer whatever questions with my lawyer. It would be insane to ever talk to the cops without a lawyer present on a serious matter like this. I feel like the cops probably called him, he probably called a lawyer shortly after and once he did that it made brpd upset that he would have the gaul to contact a lawyer and they released his name.

A good lawyer would tell you not to talk to the cops. So there's your first mistake. There is a good reason why lawyers for decades have counseled clients, innocent and guilty alike, not to speak with the police. The police can't "clear" you. The only thing talking to the police can do is help to convict you.

La'el is one of the good guys. He's not the kind of guy with a "thuggish" demeanor or behavior. Super nice, hard working, never been in trouble. Guy doesn't even have tattoos, not that that says much though.

Just saying, he is the last guy I would suspect to be involved in something like this. We have lots of players that have a lot more thug in them than La'el.

I would bet a lot of money he didn't have anything to do with this. I hope he is cleared soon, because this really sucks for him. He has already lost millions.
