I wouldn't subject myself to a lie detector, but if it was me I would have called my lawyer on first contact by the cops and then went to answer whatever questions with my lawyer. It would be insane to ever talk to the cops without a lawyer present on a serious matter like this. I feel like the cops probably called him, he probably called a lawyer shortly after and once he did that it made brpd upset that he would have the gaul to contact a lawyer and they released his name.

I'm not sure many people understand how investigations (much less murder investigations) actually are conducted. Trust me, detectives expect a person called in on a matter like this is going to retain legal counsel. They don't get "upset".
