It was chilling to actually see in person the destruction. I worked not too far from Concord, about 25 mi due west of Birmingham that was in the path of the Tuscaloosa tornado. Stunning what happened over there. And the seeing the twisted street light poles in Pratt City was incredible.

One of our employees lives in Concord and I couldn't get in touch with him for almost 2 days after that tornado came through. I really thought him and his family had gotten killed. He finally called me and told me that his house was one of the only ones that didn't get destroyed. I will always hate that day. It truly changed my perspective on weather.
