He's turned-down other jobs because he wants the USC job and he's made that well known.

He and Holbrook have no ties. Holbrook came to SC after Monte.

But there are a couple of assistants who worked with Monte and as to whether or not Monte would retain them or would he bring his own staff with him .... who knows.

Monte is going to give it another year to see how Chad does ... if Chad if fired after next year then Monte gets the job.
