Well, the coaches seemed to disagree. He's obviously not playing before Dennis or Penton. Gibson is an experienced player with starts under his belt, and one of our better athletes. Cheadle played above Wingo when both were freshman, and then you have the senior Johnson who has experience.

I agree that he could have been a good corner, and that's probably his best spot in the NFL (should he get close to that discussion) but I think he can be a standout at WR and his path to playing time is sooner there.

Yeah, the past speaks for itself in terms of Pinkel playing freshmen. If they can make an impact, they will play. Beckner will be an example of that if he qualifies, and the D-line isn't exactly hurting for talent right now. I think the staff sees Wingo as an explosive playmaker with the ball in his hands and that's why they moved him.
