I like the guys we have, but I'd bet Wingo is the better DB than the guys taking up the 2 deep, yes, I realize they're really good.

I'm a big fan of Dennis and Penton. The argument might be able to be made that Wingo is as good as the other guys behind those 2 but I think it's tough to say he's better than those 2.

This all falls into the same ball of wax -- I wish Mizzou wasn't quite so stuck in their ways of not playing younger, more talented players, in place of adequate upper classman.

Penton played as a true freshman and was a full time starter by his 2nd year. I also think that it's hard to use the past history to predict what GP might do in the future when it comes to this. Mizzou simply hasn't always gotten guys who were physically ready to play their first year. Now, they are getting more and more of those level of athletes, so it will be interesting.

Think it had a lot to do with need. I don't think we had anyone at that time.

We'll play freshman, or young guys when it's absolutely necessary.

But I don't think we bump up younger guys who may have more elasticity, or ceiling when an adequate upperclassmen is in place. Which has its pros and cons.

That's where I'm at.
