You are first to admit that UF's facilities are behind the SEC in many areas- especially for revenue sports. Football facilities are downright "high schoolish" according to those in the know.
Add in the fact that Will almost got a raise moving to Auburn (well not quite, but his pay was very low for a BCS bowl coach) and it gives an impression that Foley is cheap.
Heck why did he hire Will, a guy with no head coaching experience, in the first place instead of a most established option? To an outsider it looked like he was going to "beat the system" and "get a deal" like he does in non-football sports and it backfired.
To Foley's credit, I think he knew that cheaping out on a coordinator last time wasted more resources than it saved so he didn't back down when the $7 million buyout came up. That is why he is probably the best AD in the SEC, he gets better as he goes.
