Nobody living today had a damn thing to do with slavery. Was it a dark period in our history...absolutely. But white people apologizing for slave owning ancestors is like black people demanding 40 acres and a mule today. shite is stupid.
Maybe one day we'll all respect each other and just live life. My generation still has some issues with it we got from our parents and grandparents, but I can say my grandkids literally dont see color. I think it will take another 50 years for racism to mostly be gone.

Disagree. Racism is not disappearing. It is changing. It is moving from the notion of "black skin = inferior" to "black skin = thug"
My niece is 5 years old and she does not like black people. When she sees them in public, she will shy away, and it is a challenge to get her to say hi to one. This is not because her parents or grandparents or siblings or teachers have taught her to not like them. Rather, it is because the black boys in her day care class act obnoxiously and rudely, more so compared to the other kids who are not black. Why they do that, who the frick knows? Most likely because they are being raised by a single parent with an absent father who shows up from time to time to provide a horrible influence - a harsh truth for the black community at large that some wish to ignore in discussions of the challenges that black Americans face. And as long as that is the case, sadly, there will be racism.
Like it or not, sometimes, stereotypes are earned.

i think this is the best path moving forward.
My grandfather on my dad's side were uber racist. His older brothers are. I stopped going to Thanksgiving after Obama was elected because it was just too much hate and N words flying around. My dad's a little racist, but i've never once heard him use the n word or anything blatantly disparraging. I'm sure i have a little bit of it from my upbringing, but i grew up in an all white farming school. my son's best friend is black.
it's going to pass and we're going to have idiots on both sides till then and probably afterwards too.

No it won't. As long as there is profit in it, it will be here forever. And there is profit in it. See Jackson, Jesse; Sharpton, Al; Rainbow PUSH Coalition, etc.

You are either lying, or your grandchildren are at the least legally blind.
