Now that you are fully entrenched in the SEC, is there anything that you miss about the Big 12?

Just curious.

Not one damn thing. Don't even think about the Big 12 until someone brings it up.

Better trolls in the big 12. Besides Arky shits pretty weak here, and Arky has that Big 12/SWC troll strain in them as well

Miss nothing. Being in the b12 was like having to sit at the kids table. Moving to the SEC was like getting the chance to sit at the grown ups table.

So how we do'n so far?

Nope. Big 12 was always a forced marriage. Still identify with the old Big 8 of course, but couldn't be happier to be out of that shite show:

For the sake of not just saying nothing, I'll go with the basketball venues but mostly I miss the Big 12 tournament. I love the SEC but the Big 12 tournament is literally the only thing the Big 12 has over the SEC.

I am sure that Missouri misses having an ACTUAL competitor in their division.

Seriously, how bad is the SEC East embarrassing us as a conference?

UGA, UF, USC and UT.....would one of you sallies step up and stop letting a Big 12 rugrat take your lunch?

The only thing that ATM can do extremely well is jump to conclusions about "kenny trill" being a heisman candidate after two games. ........Kenny "Trill"? How stupid of a name is that?

SEC east, learn how to stifle your sad-sack newcomers.

Not A lot. It was nice having teams so close. Waco was 90 min. Austin not much longer. That's what made the SWC fun. I will say the location of the baseball tourney is better. Brick town is perfect. Too bad the fans don't show up unless OU and OSU are good. It was also a lot easier to win stuff. We had 20 big 12 titles our last 3 years. We have 11 with a chance at 3 more in our first 3 years of the Sec.

Actual Rivalries, with trophies
Shorter Drives to games.
Good Basketball (besides UK)

I also miss the "not trying to fit in." Missouri simply isn't a "southern" state. A lot of people tried way too hard, buying an entire new wardrobe and such.

Not really. This has been such a great all-around move for Mizzou. Interest in our athletic programs is rising, we'll be making way more money than we ever did in the Big 12, we have an equal seat at the table, our football program's reputation is rising. All good.

If I can manufacture anything to miss about the Big 12, maybe just the fact that we had a ton of history with some of those schools. In football, we played kansas 120 times, Nebraska 104 times, Oklahoma 93 times, and Iowa State 101 times.

SEC has more of an equal conference feel to it. There are big schools like Alabama that take a bigger spotlight, but I don't get the feeling that they have a larger say in things than anyone else. The Big 12 is OU and Texas. Everyone else is just background noise.

I miss playing Nebraska in football. I would love to see Mizzou/Nebraska split Arrowhead and play a game there every year.

Big 12 basketball here in KC is an event that I definitely miss.

Overall I could not be more thrilled with the SEC move. Wife and I have been able to travel to several football games and we are always warmly welcomed and have enjoyed the SEC towns we have been in so far.
