I think the whole Albert Means scandal is a sore subject for Alabama fans because the schools that bid and failed to get him got away scot-free. Just asking a player how much cash he wants to come play for a school is a major NCAA infraction and Alabama wasn't the only school bidding for his services. Tennessee was involved, as were a couple of other schools inside the SEC, as well as other schools from outside the conference. None of them got hit. Not one.

Were we guilty? Sure. Were we the only ones trying to acquire Means illegally? No. Were those other schools ever punished? Hell no!

Just thinking along these lines - it makes me wonder why the hell MSU never got a reprimand or slap on the wrist for the Cam Newton deal. They had a former MSU player trying to broker a deal with Cecil and trying to get other former MSU players/booster to pony up the $$ to get him.... WTF?

Wasn't UK collateral damage to everyone's good time on this one?
