Everybody is listing stupid reasons for one school or the other. Logically, and from a business standpoint, the SEC gets it's least reward for having Mississippi State and South Carolina.
Both of these schools are low on the list for academics, fan bases, and reputable history in athletics.
All of these people saying Texas A&M and Mizzou have no understanding of business and adademics. Both of these schools are the solo conference school in populated states, and they are both are members of the AAU.
Why on earth would anyone suggest Kentucky? Arguably the biggest basketball school in the country with a gargantuan fanbase. Also, the most popular school in a medium populated state.
Also, you would never remove a superior academic instituion like Vanderbilt that rises above expectionas consistintly in their athletics. They just won the NCAA baseball national championship.
My vote: South Carolina and Mississippi State

False, at least as far as USC is concerned. South Carolina has a bigger population than Louisiana and is almost twice as large as Arkansas. Even if you argue they split the state with Clemson (which really doesn't matter for SEC Network revenue) they are still worth as much as Arky at least.
